Juan is a manager at Samvid Ventures, where he works on philanthropic, investment, and innovation efforts to scale solutions that expand opportunity. He was previously an associate director at Michelle Obama’s Reach Higher Initiative at Common App, advancing college access and affordability for students from underserved groups. Earlier in his career, Juan worked as a management consultant advising for-profit corporations, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies.

He holds an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a B.A. in Political Science from Rice University.

He is originally from Bogota, Colombia and lives in New York City, where he is always on the hunt for great coffee shops and cocktail bars.
